Our mission was simple; produce a superlative videophone for use over an IP network, yet remaining faithful to Motion Media core values - simplicity, flexibility and affordability.

Starting with a clean sheet meant that we could use the very latest in hardware technology and design software that when combined would give a solid, expandable platform from which future development is easy. The result is mm745 IP videophone with integrated web browser.

Premium quality video and audio
Quality of image is vital for a videophone and key to this lies in high quality video compression. Motion Media achieves this using their world beating video compression technology in conjunction with the Equator processor.

Premier quality Audio and Full echo cancellation.
Ordinary telephones operate using a 3.5kHertz bandwidth, mm745 makes use of 7kHz for increased clarity. Full duplex acoustic echo cancellation is a feature of mm745. This important feature means that you can have a handsfree conversation with the far end as though they were in the same room. Most handsfree echo cancellation codecs permit speech in one direction only, which leads to delays and clipped speech when one person interrupts the other.

As instant, simple and flexible as a telephone.
If you can use a telephone you can use mm745. Operation of mm745 is essentially intuitive. It has all the normal controls that you would expect on a telephone. Calls can be dialled directly, or through the feature-rich Directory which makes dialling so quick and easy. And to make mm745 even easier to use, touchscreen control has been developed as an option.

As well as being easy to use mm745 is very flexible. It can be used as a videophone and a telephone (fully VoIP compliant), and as a videoconferencing center. Calls can be made over your WAN, LAN or VPN, or through a gateway to existing ISDN based systems. And use the integrated browser with the IR keyboard for working with your Intranet, email and the Internet.

Powerful Equator® and PowerPC® architecture
mm745 uses the Equator processor, which is a state of the art video chip, currently running at 4x the speed of PCs. In conjunction with Motorola's Power PC, it allows millions of actions to occur every second enabling the superlative functionality of mm745.

Compatible with standards based systems
mm745 is designed to be compatible with other H.323-based videoconferencing equipment, multi-point conferencing systems and network hardware like gateways and gatekeepers. This allows easy integration with existing networks and makes incorporating video into new installations painless.
